These 2 ft Hatch chile ristras are a great southwestern decoration, and work as a wonderful present too! The best part is that they are also edible! That’s right, all our ristras are untreated, just be sure to properly boil them as they are a raw agricultural product. We start shipping fresh ristras every year in early September, right around the Hatch Chile Festival, when red chiles are just starting to ripen up. Ristras are a natural way to sundry chile and prevent it from being scavenged by birds or rodents. In case you want to make a red chile sauce, just reach for last year’s ristra!
